Sorry, I forgot to include the subject in the subject line.

Frank Stenger and I are making excellent progress and getting lots of help
and good scientific comments on our upcoming audit paper. We're half-way
though making an audit calculator program available to go along with it, and
then we'll release the paper. The good news is that some people like Roy
Saltman and Ron Rivest have been thinking along the same lines for a long
time themselves, that election audit sample sizes should depend on candidate
margins, so we expect to have good response when we release it. Roy Saltman
even wrote a paper in 1975 that proposed a similar method to calculate audit
sample sizes, and Ron Rivest has been working on a method to estimate audit
sample sizes himself.

I'm sorry it has taken longer than expected. I had to take a break to work
on some personal chores, but have still been working on it continuously and
have shown it to enough people, including a couple election officials, to
get some good comment and feedback that has helped to make it comprehensible
and complete.
