  Open Voting Solutions, Inc. is now working with Open Source code which we expect to use on our OpenScan system. We have yet to do a final test and yet to submit it to the ITAs for testing, but we expect to have it shortly and then submit it.

A top shelf OCR package is now own source. While recognizing
anticipatable text like a multiple choice ballot is a different
problem then general text, this may still be an important development
for open source ballot scanning technology I think
