RE: More on damage to the old Wiki

I think that we should leave the old wiki up "read-only" for a little while
for reference, so I just put the URL of the new site onto the front page of
the Wiki. Once we're comfortable that the new site is complete (perhaps a
day or two) we should put in a redirect as you suggest.

I knew the login for that machine long ago, but I've since forgotten it, so
I'll give you a call. Perhaps the easiest way to implement the redirect
would be to edit the CGI script to print out the redirect?

You want it write protected? Maybe even better would be replacing the
whole thing with a hard redirect to the new one. If the latter, I'd be
happy to write a little redirect script (or even just a static page,
but I'm not sure if stuff in cgi-bin *has* to be executable).

Or if Laird wants to do this, he has had the password for
gnosis.python-hosting.com in the past. It's the same... but feel free
to telephone me, Laird, to get the password, if needed (obviously, I'm
not putting it on this list).
