Good Jim. I require you to wear eyeglasses, because I wear them. My father uses
a cane, so we must all use a cane. And stairs must be eliminated from all
public buildings because people in wheelchairs can't use them.

This argument is nonsensical. No assistive voting technology enables every type
of disability to vote on it; no "equal protection" legal argument exists
mandating that everyone vote the same way, and nothing about hand marking paper
ballots means that assistive devices must be prohibited. In fact, most
jurisdictions in the US do use hand marked ballots, so the requirement for
everyone to drop doing that because SOME people require assistive measures
still doesn't fly.

Government is the servant of the people, and not the master of them. The
people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right
to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to
know. We insist on remaining informed so that we may retain control over the
instruments of government we have created.
