A million dollars will fund a reasonable size effort. $10,000 a
month will fund Alan and little else.

Best regards,

P.S. Alan called me to complain that I was discouraging people from
raising money. I think that $10,000 a month is a great start. It
will be good to have a paid leader. The board in December voted to
pay Alan a salary of up to $8,000 contingent on available funding.
Hopefully, if Alan is paid, then he'll be able to devote the time to
raising money for the OVC to build a production quality system.
Unfortunately, the OVC has not been able to raise $10,000 total in
over 10 months of trying, although Alan did get consulting money in
September from an interested party to keep him going. In addition, I
personally have lent Alan money several times to keep him going. I
just think it is important for people to realize what $10,000 a month
will and won't accomplish. I believe in trust in advertising. As
OVC's VP for Finance and Administration, being truthful and accurate
about our finances is my job.
