The board will meet on November 11th one way or another.

I assume Alan's decision to follow through on your stated intention
to resign, or to instead stay on, will depend on whether there is
sufficient funding or prospects of funding by November 10th. We have
had hardly any few board meetings, and the decision to perform a
search or revise the bylaws must be done by the board. So I expect
that Alan will have made a decision before the board meeting.

I, for one, hope we can raise the money to accomplish some useful
goals, such as build production quality software and get it deployed,
and not just enough money to run the OVC and pay the President's
salary. If we are able to accomplish that, and quite a few of us
done a lot without fundraising success so far to try to accomplish
that.

We've raised enough money (thanks largely to Alan) to keep OVC barely
afloat financially. In addition, a third party recently paid Alan a
little more than that, a drop in the bucket considering he's received
almost nothing in his nearly 4 years of work on this effort.

Best regards,
Arthur
