I'm not sure what you mean by this. When the voter has gone through
all contests, the following instructions are given every time a change
has been made to a contest:

  To finish your selections and print your ballot, press the down arrow
  key. To listen to the selections you have made, press the up arrow key.
  To make changes, press the right or left arrow key to go to the contest
  you want to change.

Doesn't that cover all possible cases how to proceed after a change?

It would be easy to define a key, eg the plus sign key, to switch between
