[OVC-demo-team] Logistics for Demo

I would like to have an end-to-end integrated demo system test done
two weeks before the demo. The reason for this lead time is to
ensure that we are ready enough to publicize the event, invite
people, and not have the date slip. So I'm not sure if the week of
March 22 is still feasible, or if we need to move it out another
week. My preference is to do the demo on a Wednesday, as it gives us
a few week days to complete the process of getting ready, and two
week days follow to publish our news.

Here are two venues in Palo Alto I can reserve for the demonstration:

Mitchell Park Community Center (see
(there are also other community centers on that page)
Art Center (see <http://www.city.palo-alto.ca.us/artcenter/generalinfo.html>)

Also knowing exactly what equipment we'll use is necessary in order
to design the physical placement of the equipment on site. Towards
that end, I'll need a tentative list of equipment we'll need and
what, if anything, we need to buy. I understand we need to get a new
touchscreen monitor. I guess it's time to go ahead and order one.

How many voting stations do we plan to have? Do we need to build
"frames" for these voting stations? Who can do that?

Where will the end-to-end integrated demo system set up and test happen?

We'll need to have printed materials available. I can prepare
packets if someone will gather and develop what we want to hand out.
I can do full color 8.5x11 for little cost in modest quantities.

We probably want some banners and signs. I can arrange to have some
printed up, but there may be costs involved. I can do 11x17 for the
cost of paper. Does anyone have any thoughts on what these should
say and look like?

(I can use my gift account at UCSC to cover some of the costs involved.)

Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Best regards,
