For the paper ballot count, that's all it is: a raw count of the number of
print-outs. They won't be inspected or anything at this point (as I
understand the Wiki).

An interesting idea, definitely. I could easily do something like this. Also,
I can have the application log all activity, and timestamp each step along
the way.

These questions and ideas are great. It's no problem for me to do, just a
decision of the team whether or not we need that much detail right now.
