RE: [OVC-demo-team] BRP Mockups

The forms look very good indeed! A question about workflow: when you
count paper ballots, shouldn't the form include a place to count each
type of paper ballot (i.e., spoiled, blank/other, etc)? I guess I don't
understand the significance of the sequence in which the forms are
presented. If the papers are shuffled, there should be a way of counting
the different types of ballots as they come up unless you are presuming
that they are sorted into types first and then counted. Also, Doug
Jones and I talked about having witnesses verify the beginning and end
of each step in the counting process (e.g., paper ballot manual
count)--along with a time-stamp. This would provide a better audit

I am not a developer, so it is easy for me to suggest these ideas and it
may be that this is all too much for the demo.

Hope this helps.

This looks real nice Eron. I have a few minor things....

Ballot Verification Witness

I think this should probably be Ballot Verification Witness Sign in.
witnesses should be prompted to enter a password

Paper Ballot Scan Count

I don't think you need the "Add Ballot" button. When the barcode is
scanned, a crlf is automatically added.

Load Vote Station Data

The list of voting machines should appear (there might be 6 - 8 at a
precinct) before the disks are inserted. We should clearly see what
machines we have yet to receive the disk from. You have a status column
each machine and that's fine, but maybe we should have a status for this
process that says something like "x disks to be read" which would change
"Done" when all the disks have been read.

After the last screen (Compare Ballots), we probably want a sign out
that says, "The procedure was completed as prescribed" [something like
and the witnesses are again prompted to enter their passwords.
Thanks again. Good work. I look forward to seeing this in action.
