[OVC-demo-team] Plea for $$ money -- contributions

Dear Friends,

The outlook for the OVC is great. Within a month, the organization will
advance to the next level. We'll be in a new phase where it should be much
easier to raise money. We are looking good for a March 15 demo. There are
major media pieces in the works that will be out within the next few weeks
that will make us look very good--even before the demo. We are positioned
to get some money from the states to assist with HAVA implementation (in
case you missed it, the California Secretary of State's office called me
asking for a proposal... to be presented after the March primary, probably
in April)

Right now, we have a serious problem. A very few people have carried the
burden for funding this effort--mostly me and Arthur Keller.

It takes me an inordinate amount of time to keep the project going. I spend
hours and hours on the phone everyday--mostly long distance calls. I need
your help NOW!

So, here's what I'm asking: Please send a check made out to the Open Voting
Consortium in whatever amount you can manage. Send it to me at 9560
Windrose Lane, Granite Bay CA 95746. A few other people (including Doug
Jones) have also made contributions along the way: If you already have
contributed, please consider making another contribution.

Thanks.

Alan Dechert
