So 720KB floppies, I've been trying to remember the capacity of my 8"
Floppy drive I have in the garage. Do you know ?

To the best of my recollection the original 8" disks were 128k. My quad
density double sided drives ($2k/drive pair in the '80s!) got up to a
huge 1.2M!!! Friends of mine ran BBSs off of 16 of these at a time.
Wowza, now that's mass storage.

The 8" floppy disk in my closet says that it is 64k.  Doesn't everyone have a stack of 8" as well as 5.25" floppies in their closet?
