Hi Gene,

Since you joined recently, you are probably missing some context. The
exact appearance of the GUI *is* already decided. At worst, there may
be slight difference in the font or line rendering, but even these
should be minimized as much as possible.

For the demo, it will be created using wxPython; in principle, we may
decide to change technologies (e.g. GUI libraries) later, but not at
this point in demo development.

Anand was simply showing us his first brush at duplicating this
appearance.

Btw, to Anand: The ballot screen SHOULD NOT handle resizing in any way.
Rather, all the elements should be arranged on a 1280x1024 fixed-size
window, in full-screen mode (frame elements--scrollers, title bar, etc,
hidden/removed).
