DREs in Santa Clara County

I have tried touch-screen voting, and I am impressed with the
improvements over other systems I have used. DREs automatically
prevent overvoting, of course, and do a lot to prevent
undervoting as well as the more obvious errors in selection.

The Sequoia DREs used at my polling place do record the vote on
paper, but the record is hidden from the voter. So there is an
audit trail, even if not a voter-verified audit trail.
