I have a scanned copy of the famous Bernalillio large race ballot.

warning this is 7 megs bytes in tar-gzip format, click the above line starts a download instantly, so modem users beware.

I will leave this posted for a few days so you have a chance to download it.

the file contains both copies of the original 2 sided 22 3/4" optical scan ballot plus
a copy of the 57" tape version of the results of sample ballot.

The files are organized as follows. I scanned this at full-size without any reduction. thus the 23" ballot is divided into four overlapping sections you can print out on 8x11 paper. the 57" ballot is divided into two 8x11 pages. (actually there is a redundant third page because the scan clipped a couple words off the top). the best way to view these is to print then out.

I dont have an OCR program handy to turn the tape into text. But if you do could you please post a word or text file so we can all play with arranging the output into OVC suitable format on an 8x14 sheet of paper.

maybe dave mertz will run it through the bar-code bit counter program too.
