On the issue of printers - if you want privacy on a "face up" printer
(typical of ink-jets) then it's pretty easy to put a cover over the
oputput tray so that most of the page is not visible. It's sort of
analogous to the way the privacy folder masks all but the bar code.

That's one of the HP printers with the U-shaped paper path? I have found
that HP design to have extremely poor paper handling in the kind of wet
(foggy) humidity we have here in Santa Cruz (and for 1000+ miles northward
and 200+ miles southward).
