We aim for openness here at the Open Voting Consortium. We plan to keep our
financial records public.

The Register Lists for our bank account and our PayPal account are available
for inspection.

In summary, we've raised $5,246.75. To date, $2,047.07 has been paid to me
as reimbursement for expenses. $221.51 was paid to Fred McLain to reimburse
him for the computer (now resides at OVC HQ, i.e., my house) he put on his
credit card when he was in town for the demo. There was another $97.64 paid
for check printing, stamps, etc. No money has been paid for any salaries or
consulting.

So we have $316.61 in the bank and $2,563.92 in PayPal, $2,880.53 total.

The main donor so far has been Lou Montulli's $2,000 (less PayPal fees).
The rest has come from about 55 other contributors whose gifts have ranged
from $4 to $250. About 6 or so people have contributed more than once, in
addition to another 4 people that are $10 per month subscribers.

My main OVC related expenses have been phone, travel, and Internet (web
hosting and cable service). Some of these expenses were related to getting
the OVC officially established, but most has been since the official
founding of the OVC (12 DEC 2003). I am still digging for receipts and will
be submitting more soon. I travelled to Nevada last Tuesday to meet with
our team at the University of Nevada, Reno. I anticipate another trip soon
to Nevada to meet with the Secretary of State along with our UNR team. I
should be getting to more conferences and hearings. Ideas on raising more
money are welcome.

Thanks again to all.

We need to think of a place on our web site to put a link to our books. I
think maybe "About Us." Any ideas?
