Initializing the voting cycle

Hello All:

Just one other thing! I was going over the archive last night and it was unclear to me how the EVM would be initialized for each voter. I can see how the cycle would end, once the print button is touched on the screen. Then the software would lock and not allow any more votes until 'unlocked' somehow by a poll worker. How was this suppose to occur, some type of onscreen keyboard where a poll worker would enter some code string? I can see that there was quite a discussion about it but following the thread doesn't really give me an answer. Despite time constraints, perhaps the issue needs to be rediscussed?

Thanks, Ed Kennedy
