By creating a website and soliciting funding and donations, we are
engaged in trade. And registrations in advance of sale are done all
the time. There's a period allowing for reserving the name in
advance. Perhaps some legal eagle will know more about how long you
can reserve the name before using it.

Nonetheless, there's no harm in placing TM on the website as soon as possible.
