I'm watching the DRE vendors testifying to the US Election

Neil McClure, VP & GM of Hart InterCivic, used the phrase
"voter-verified paper ballot". Yay! But he dissed the idea.

--Voter votes, verifies, rejects ballot. Hacker then prints paper
ballot. So the machine, or the entire election should be shut

This is somehow an argument against paper?

--Wants DREs to meet FIPS level 2 cryptography

This solves what problem?

--Machine errors are quality issues, not arguments for paper
