I agree with the others who have said good things about the 59-page
document. OVC is favorably reported on page 35. Some of us in North
Carolina have placed copies with various election officials, legislators,
etc. Yes, it's long, and it took me a while to read the whole thing. As a
detailed reference and for answers to the critics it is probably the best
document, along with Black Box Voting, which is even longer and more
scary. For the many people who need an executive summary I have prepared
several documents of about a half dozen pages each--a Fact Sheet, a
summary of miscounts reported in the media (36 of them just in
2001-2003), and a rebuttal to the vendors and their allies. All can be
found at www.stimson.homestead.com or I'll be glad to send one or more on
request as email attachments in Word format (unless other format

Subject: [voting-project] Voters Unite!
Ellen Theisen, formerly of Verified Voting, has put together a pretty
document aimed at informing election officials.
The OVC gets a pretty nice treatment in the paper. Her group,
votersunite.org, is trying to circulate this document as widely as
I haven't studied the document in detail (it's 59 pages), but what I've
appears to be pretty accurate and thorough.
I'd like to hear some commentary on this paper from our studious
voting-project members, and it might be worthwhile to support the
votersunite.org project.
