I do reject uniformity in our election administration, indeed. I honor the
wisdom of the framers who built into our Constitution state sovereignty and
dispersed power in this very critical brick in the wall of our democracy.

What works in NH may not work in Ohio, and vice versa. We have our own
cultural traditions and political geographical configurations that are
specific to our own state.

Centralizing control in elections is anathema to a healthy democracy. Those
unfortunate enough to live in corrupt states know what that is like.
Elevating that to the federal level is suicidal.

This should not in any way be construed to mean that I don't believe in
uniformity of the fundamental value of free, fair, open, and observable
elections.
