Subject: Voter smartcard authenticaion as an option for the EVM2003

Dear Alan,

I am writing to you with the intention of hopefully being able to
implement a smartcard application for the EVM2003 software project. I
am starting my dissertation (e-voting and anonymity using smartcards)
as part of my Msc in Information Security course at the Royal Holloway
University of London in United Kingdom.

My idea is to implement an optional javacard solution that would
authenticate the individual voters anonymously in order to cast a vote
using the EVM2003 system.

I would be grateful if you could let me know if this is feasible, how
to proceed and if you are the correct person to discuss this with.

All work done will also be verified and consulted with the University
professors and tutors who are extremely knowledgeable in Information
security.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further information or
clarification.

Regards

Gino Ricci
