Just to clarify Laird's description (his smile, BTW, was simply because
he and I made the same change at almost exactly the same time, but mine
was the one that "took").

I happened to create Revision 23 by editing the text of Revision 20.
But Revision 20 was just a helpful starting point... I could just as
well have changed something else at the same time, or started from
scratch. Once Revision 22 was committed, the -only- thing I could do
is create a Revision 23... if I happen to create that by copying the
text from Revision 20, or Revision 7, or from some other Wiki, that's
just a convenience for me in creating it.

Don't think of "rollback" as popping items off a stack. Think of it as
"amendment by substitution."

If I seem shortsighted to you, it is only because I have stood on the
backs of midgets.
