Other possible non-pejorative synonyms for your consideration.

Digest Ballot
Summation Ballot
Summary Ballot
Dictated Ballot
Voter Preference Ballot
Abstracted Ballot

maybe with word optimal flaoting in there. Whatever the adjectives, Ballot has to be the noun.

I certainly understand and agree with Alan's intent in identifying a
distinct term for the ballot in our system. Falling under--or
creating--relevant standards is important.

But the word "reduced" to me suggests either, (1) photo-reduction, as
in transferring to microfilm, or maybe like the tiny
four-pages-to-a-page print of my OED; or (2) reduction of the
contests/issues on a ballot--as if we only printed the most important
contests, not the piddly judicial retentions or the like.

I wonder if we could choose a better descriptive term before pushing
it. To emphasize the representation only of selections, we could call
it:

   Optimized Paper Ballot

But I think the non-listing of non-selected candidates is not the
central issue (which "reduced" also seems to suggest, even putting
aside the above wrong insinuations). Maybe more like:

   Machine Generated Paper Ballot

or,

   Voter Initiated Paper Ballot
   Vote Selection Paper Ballot

I don't want to go into a long thread about this, and will go with the
wrong-seeming name if that's what others like. But if we're going to
get a term written into laws, maybe we can get one with a more accurate
feel.
