Hmmm... I've generally found it winds up installed on most of my
systems, one way or another. Maybe as part of other packages I've
installed. I hadn't thought much about the license terms that might
apply to it.

A quick google reveals a number of -shareware- versions of the font,
e.g.:

http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/bitstream/ocr-a/
http://www.getsomesoft.com/Development/Miscellaneous/7587-POSTNET-
Barcode-Fonts.html

The second of these I downloaded, and it comes with the font in
numerous different formats PS/PCL/Truetype/etc (and also related fonts
and barcodes, FWIW). A Free Software version didn't pop up right away.

Anyone know where to find a Free version of OCR-A?
