1. If you are going to use Direct Recording Electronic Voting
Machines (and I don't advocate doing so), then paper trails are an
improvement. It's better to have paper trail rolls than no paper
trails at all.

2. For those like Bev Harris who like hand counted paper ballots, why
not hand-count the paper trail rolls? Isn't it a contradiction to
object to paper trail rolls because they can't be machine counted,
and yet object to a ballot printer architecture because it will be
machine counted?
