As of our meeting with Bev and Co. on JUN 17, it's clear that we won't be
working directly with them at all. I told Jim March on the way back from
the meeting that, while we disagree with BBV's "solution," we would not
disparage their work in any way.

Bev Harris has done great work uncovering Bad Things in the voting system.
However, we have no plans for further communication with Bev Harris. OVC
people have reputations as problem solvers. Bev is great at finding fault,
but I don't really see "problem solver" in her resume. We feel it is time
to get on with a real solution -- Open Voting. Jim March remains a friend
and supporter. Another BBV board member, Vicki Karp, has been an OVC
contributor.

She can say whatever she likes. While it's clear she is not interested in
helping OVC, I don't think she can damage OVC.

Alan D.
