Here's a note I received from Richard Dawson, the original author of ACR 242
(CA Assembly resoluting calling on SoS Kevin Shelley to investigate using
open source sofware in the election system).

The resolution passed easily in the Assembly and we expect it to pass the
Senate. Still, some show of support from the public would be a Good Thing.
