Largely right, but it depends on the context. If we improve the demo
software to handle arbitrary ballot configurations, part of that
process will be implementing specific historical elections as
proofs-of-concept. Those will obviously not consist of fictional or
long-dead candidates.

Of course, even if we demonstrate, e.g. how the CA gubernatorial recall
with 130 candidates might be presented, we shouldn't present in a way
that suggests any endorsement of a particular vote. The same would go
for any of the other complex elections that have been discussed (or
also for simple ones).
