I love the phrasing of it. "pushing an open source agenda". It reminds me when Ronald Reagan demonized the "L" word. You end up in straddle having to say, "no were not pushing an open source agenda, but it does make sense for public voting, and by the way there's nothing wrong with open source. Some of my best freinds use open source."

Dont play that game! I say turn it around immediately and only refer to the issue as "vendors pushing a secret source agenda to assure vendor lock-in", and let them struggle out of the bag.
