At best Holt II (HR 811) offers a voter VERIFIABLE ballot. At worst it
appears what will be initially counted on DREs are the machine counts. In
my mind a ballot is what is counted, not what MIGHT be counted in an audit
or recount. Certainly Christine Jennings in FL would have benefited from
even a thermal paper VVPAT but thatıs not good enough.

I have no objection to using a touch screen as an assistive device to output
a paper ballot counted by hand or optical scan. I have an adamant objection
