That was one of my first questions when I first met OVC years ago.
As I recall, nobody active with the group knew the answer. There was
a demo, but it was written in Python and used a graphics library
that was only available on Mac OS, and it wasn't directly related to
any files available to the public. This wasn't intended to be an
early version of the eventual product, it was more of a quick
proof of concept. I'd just figured out how to remaster Knoppix and wanted
to put an EVM demo on it, and OVC had no tarball I could download.

Until just now, I didn't even know OVC had published a demo disk this year.
It's eleven screens down from the front of the site, and I'd never
scrolled down that far. It's downloading at 55KBps, and I won't have time
to burn it and look inside tonight. It would be nice if somewhere in the
first few screens of the front page there were a link to OVC's product,
but nobody's gotten around to that. It seems odd that publishing source
code has never been a priority for OVC.
