It does seem like that. But it is state law, even though it seems
pointless. But then again, we understand why it is pointless. Most
election officials are still stuck in the past, this new technology wows
them and they believe the hype by the vendors that it is infallable. It
just goes to show that the election officials of the future need to have
some clue about technology and the risks associated with it. It is a shame
Laura Ruderman didn't win and we're stuck with Sam Reed and his
shenanigans for another 4 years.
