Re: Critical analysis of VoteHere

My problem with VoteHere stems from who is and has been on the Board of
Directors, as well as previous issues such as the firing of Dan Spillane
after he brought up security issues
(http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,57831,00.html)

Their technology also means little to me until they release their systems
for a full code review for anyone to review. Having a proprietary system
which functions as an extension of our freedom to vote violates that
freedom because of the mystery surrounding what it actually does. They are
no better than a Diebold when it comes to that and Diebold has shown
they've not played fair.

As with everything, technology will evolve but I think emphasis needs to
be put on VVPB at the current time. This is even more important when next
year is an election year. After a reliable electronic, HAVA compliant
system can be designed then perhaps we can broaden horizons and look at a
solution that runs on the Internet.
