Which network will be carrying this? Hopefully CBS as I don't have cable TV.

This is sort of a "60-minutes" style investigation of touchscreen voting. It's not a rehash either. Rather turns up some new evidence such as tracking down the dilapidated plant where the ivotronic touchscreens were assembled. There they were having a 30 to 40% rejection rate on the screen themselves.
Apparently the issue here was rush to market. They needed lots of machines, fast. So plant workers say the rejects got shipped too.
The above clip is a long teaser for the full hour show that airs on Tuesday.
I'm glad to have this done so mainstream. I just hope their conclusion is not "we need perfect machines and perfectly trained operators" and instead is we need a different approach that is transparent, robust and self correcting in the face of errors.
Also I thought the "rush" to market aspect of it was another plus for OVC's use of commodity hardware and multiple vendor business model. This should be much less subject to source failures and have an adversarial competitive nature that might lend some quality control.
Dan Rather Reports "The Trouble with Touch Screens" will air Tuesday, August 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The program also airs at 11:00 p.m. ET to accommodate west coast prime ti
