How do touchscreens connect? does the touch go back over USB or something else. And are their mac drivers? The driver issue is likely to have a glitch during the switch to intel.

I'm personally a big believer in macs. my desktops have been 99% mac/NeXT and 1% linux since 1990. (my server rooms are the reverse: 99.9% linux, 1% mac). They are very reliable hardware. Indeed one reason they cost a wee bit more than the cheapest possible PC I suspect is that they don't cut corners. QA foir a voting system is not a bad thing to pay for.

I just recently switched to a iBook (Mac OS X) laptop for my latest
open source project. It works well.
