Hello Kathy,
Marybeth Kuznik suggested that I contact you. I
live in Mercer County, PA - one of the three
western PA counties that had used the UniLect
Patriot DRE that was decertified for use in our
state in April BUT is now scheduled for yet a
third re-certification exam on August 15th.
We recently learned that our Dept. of State had
hired a second examiner in addition to Dr.
Michael Shamos to test the 13 voting systems
currently scheduled for testing. The new examiner
is Glenn Newkirk of InfoSENTRY Services Inc. of
Raleigh, North Carolina. I am aware he is
president of the company and have read some of
his writings which seem to point to a paperless
DRE bias, as does Dr. Shamos. Needless to say, as
voters and residents of PA we are very concerned
about this and I wondered if you could provide
me with any further background info regarding Mr.
Newkirk? How concerned should we be?

             Thanks for your assistance.
