My apologies for being off topic. I thought it would be interesting: the first potential high stakes test of a paper trail and a situation where the case for open source is even clearer. I was not (and an indeed still am not) aware of what the author's bias is in this case, so I was not aware of its libelous nature. But more to the point, does a partisan motive or politically incorrect affiliation matter? I'd hate to think that anyone in the US that called for a paper trail recount would have to first disprove they had a partisan motive in order to be taken seriously.
