Hello Joe:

I agree. But, to summarize the previous discussion as best I remember it, David Mertz says that he would rather discontinue sponsoring the OVC Wiki than have write restrictions as he felt it defeated the purpose of the Wiki. If we went to write restrictions, we'd have to go with different Wiki software and find a different server. The discussion was left open at the time with the suggestion that the topic would be discussed again if the wiki was hacked again (which it has been). However, David's response today would suggest that he still feels about the same. Perhaps my characterization is a little unfair but that's they way I read it. So, if you want to pick up the discussion from here, that's more or less the background.

Thanks, Ed Kennedy

It does seem like a decent idea to have write permissions... -Joe
