If Ed writes me privately requesting deletion of his message, I'll be
happy to do so. Otherwise, I'm VERY reluctant to exercise editorial
judgment on "proper" comments.

For one thing, if I become an editor, we lose "common carrier"
status--and become liable for liable or other illegal on-list comments.
  Manually editing list messages for content is a total PITA (I did it
ONCE where there seemed to be a genuinely improper disclosure of
attorney-client confidentiality; but I'm not going to do the work for a
minor, albeit legitimate, anti-spam issue).

That said, Arthur's advise is VERY good: Don't do anything to promote
the interests of spammers, phishers, and miscellaneous internet
fraudsters. (Notice that I trimmed the URL at issue from my response!)
