For the appropriations committee, the only topic would be economic
impacts... which would be nil for the state gov since whatever Shelley does
in this regard would involve HAVA money.

I suppose something could be said about economic impacts but I'm not sure
this is worth getting into. Dede Alpert is the chair of this committee and
Bob told me yesterday that she is "very busy." They probably don't want to
spend any time on ACR 242. It will probably be dealt with very quickly.

Letters right now are probably a good thing (e.g., faxed today).

I just called Bob Reid and he said the Senate Appropriations Committee is
done for this session and won't be meeting on Monday. He said it would be
considered "off the floor" but he'd check into it.
