You'd have a chance of convincing me if you could show me how a blind person
can retain a secret ballot and still obtain verification from a printed
ballot with some other method different from what I described.

I don't think you can just say, "well, I guess we'll have a printout that
sighted voters can verify but blind voters will just have to accept the fact
they can't." I don't think this line will sell.
