|Kindly welcome Jeff Wright to the voting-project list.

Welcome, indeed, Dr. Wright!

Alan had given me the heads up on your inquiry letter, and I had a
chance to read a little about your background. It's exciting to have
you on board, and I think your name and/or involvement will be a big
boost to our project.

This is convenient that Jeff has some Python background as well. Since
Alan Dechert (at Ed Cherlin advice) posted an invitation to the Python
mailing list, that attracted a number of developers with a particular
background in Python. This includes me (I have a book, and a
widely-read column for IBM dW, about Python), although I have something
of a mixed background (I used to be a philosophy professor, before
being a CS autodidact, but I had layovers at various political
projects).

In any case, if Jeff feels like he has sufficient time available to work
on direct code development that would be wonderful... including if he
would like to be code lead (Anand holds that title, but a bit
reluctantly; I think he'd rather just be a coder). But absent such
sufficient time, I'm sure we will benefit for his advice and guidance.

All the best, David...
