versatile the system will be, perhaps having multiple data files that
contain the ballot information would be better. This way we can show at
the demo that the system can handle multiple ballots (different languages,
different formats per the varying requirements of precincts across the
country, etc.). This should also allow us to demonstrate some level of
superiority over the existing machines, or at the very least a base
equivalency.

Yes, you are missing several things. We will demo multiple languages. We
will be demonstrating quite a few other things. Partly the reason you are
missing these things is that we don't have this written down (just what we
will be demonstrating) in any one place. I have written all this down but
it's scattered around right now. We will be posting the Requirements and
the Specifications on our web site soon. The Requirements will cover the
whole voting system we are talking about. We will go through the
Requirements and show which features we will demo. Soon, I will be posting
a document to our page at SourceForge that describes the demo in as much
detail as possible for now.

The part where you say, "different formats per the varying requirements of
precincts across the country," is a different matter. That's probably a
million dollar study right there. We're not going to do that for the demo.
