There have been many articles--even in English--about both systems.
Use google to look around for information. I've read articles on both,
but there's no single source that pops out to me as "this is the one
you must read." But it's certainly not hidden information overall. I
think they've been mentioned on the Voting-Project list, but not
discussed in great detail. The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) also
uses a GPL voting system (but w/o a paper ballot).

Btw. I agree with what you suggested in your other note that it would
be good to have the mailing list archives referenced directly from the
OVC website. As-is it takes a couple clicks to get to EVM2003, and
from there to the mailing list. It's certainly reachable, and also not
exactly hidden. But I think it merits a bit more prominence. However,
I don't maintain the OVC website (I do the EVM2003 one, pretty much);
and don't feel *that* strongly about it.
