RE: Fundraising

As far as web sites go:

We have a PayPal account (donation@openvotingconsortium.org), and active
buttons on the OVC web site and the EVM2003 project web site on SourceForge
that encourage people to either make one time donations or commit to monthly
donations. Paypal doesn't require people to use Paypal accounts; anyone with
a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) can make a
donation (through the PayPal service).

I don't know about mailing checks, etc., but if there's a way to do that, we
should add it to the web site.

Contributions aren't tax deductable. "The Open Voting Consortium is a
501(c)(6) organization, which means that donations are not tax deductible."

Alan,

This evening I am willing to put out a wide-area call for
contributions to OVC. Can you send me info about exactly what
someone should do to send contributions. Are you set up on
Amazon to accept contributions? Do you have a PayPal account?
Where should a check be sent and to what should it be made out?
Is there a way to make an online credit card contribution? Are
contributions tax deductable?

David
