'''James Lunney''' (born [[September 5]], [[1951]]) is a [[Canada|Canadian]] politician. He is the current [[Conservative Party of Canada|Conservative]] [[Canadian House of Commons|Member of Parliament]] for the riding of [[Nanaimo—Alberni]].

Born in [[Winnipeg, Manitoba|Winnipeg]], [[Manitoba]] he received a [[Bachelor of Science]] degree from the [[University of Manitoba]] in 1972 and a [[Doctor of Chiropractic]] from the [[Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College]] in [[Toronto]] in 1976. He was first elected in [[Canadian federal election, 2000|2000]] as a [[Canadian Alliance]] candidate with Liberal [[Hira Chopra]] trailing 15,000 votes behind and was re-elected in [[Canadian federal election, 2004|2004]].  In [[Canadian federal election, 2006|2006]] he was re-elected under the banner of the [[Conservative Party of Canada|Conservative Party]].
